OVERVIEW

  • Responsible for measuring any type of parts using specialized equipment (MMZE, ROMER, CMM GLOBAL), measurement includes assembly, alignment, program creation, interpretation of drawings, measurement method and generation of results reports.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Professional career in Engineering, logistics, business or a related degree.
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience in a Supplier Quality Engineer role, project management role, or related Supplier Quality function.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Ability to lead detailed projects, provide status reports, and track progress with management teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of APQP and Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of people in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint) and Minitab.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Essential Organization Skills
  • Leadership, dedication, ability to perform under pressure and an effort to grow professionally.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Desired Skills:
  • Six Sigma Training and Certification
  • Mastery of Six Sigma problem-solving tools
  • Experience with continuous improvement project skills

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Conduct Supplier Quality assessments and provide quality audit reports/recommendations.
  • Ensure that appropriate quality requirements (critical/key characteristics) are identified on the drawing.
  • Ensure supplier participation in product development through quality design reviews.
  • Coordinate PPAP level requirements and compliance with the PPAP process.
  • Set and track PPM goals for each supplier.
  • Support the Buyer in resolving Supplier Quality issues.
  • Disposal of quarantine material due to supplier defect
  • Identify Supplier Quality issues through line issues, inbound inspection rejections and/or supplier audit.
  • Collect defect samples
  • Initiate corrective action requests through the CAR process.
  • Follow up and close CAR in a timely manner.
  • Propose quality improvement plan for all suppliers and commodities.
  • Support the resolution of any warranty claims
  • Track suppliers' quality production issues on a daily basis.
  • Maintain good communication with suppliers and internal BRP customers/peers.
  • Participation with the purchasing department in work teams to develop, approve and monitor critical supplier and/or transfer plans.
  • Provide technical support for assembly, incoming inspection regarding the specified quality of the component or product and its function within the design requirements.
  • Perform any other tasks delegated to you by your manager.
  • Performs security-related activities.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures and codes of ethics.
  • Participate in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) determined for their function in relation to ISO9001:2015.
  • Comply with the safety rules determined according to your function.
  • Complete planned training related to Quality and Training on time.
  • Identify and report any quality and compliance issues and support corrective actions.
  • SQE responsible:
  • PPAP Approval
  • Supplier floor complaints NCR/ corrective actions /containments and production support.
