The main responsibilities of this role are to proactively participate in all pre-sales activities including, but not limited to;

· Provide support for technical pre-sales support between Vertiv TSE/SE/Sales teams and targeted national resellers

· Perform intro online demos to customers for resellers thru demo labs

· Provide technical support nurturing Partners technical teams via training and formal presentations via web-based conferences

· Collaborate and communicate closely with Vertiv field sales teams supporting same opportunity

· Review or generate the optimized Vertiv solution configuration to solve a specific reseller opportunity set of application requirements

· Assist in Technical Sales positioning on proposals considering specifications, competition, winning criteria (e.g. price or performance or efficiency or footprint)

· Serve as escalation point for national resellers on technical pre-sales questions

Additional responsibilities

· Provide pre-sale applications engineering support via e-mail, and web to national resellers

· Collaborate with other Vertiv field and application engineering roles SE/AE/TSE for technical knowledge and client solutions/growth

· Collaborate with sales enablement, product offering, and product dev/engineering for improvements in next gen tools and solutions needs

Education & Certifications: Please note minimum and preferred requirements for education. This includes degree, specializations and certifications.

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Information Technology, Computer Science and Technology or related technical field.

· A minimum of 1-3 year sales support experience in information technology industry, data center industry experience preferred

· Strong Networking background - Industry recognized network and/or Security-related certifications (e.g. network+, Security+, etc.) are a plus

· Working knowledge of networking and IT Infrastructure equipment is required

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently is required

· Highly detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding problem-solving and analytical skills

· Strong verbal and written communication skills are required

· Capability of effectively interacting with global personnel is required

· Good presentation skills are required

· Driven for continual learning and quest for knowledge

· A professional attitude towards customer relations is required

· Familiarity with UPS, server racks, and power distribution products is desirable
