This role has been designed as ‘’Onsite’ with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE partner/customer office.

Job Description:

   

The Technology Consultant applies subject matter knowledge to solve complex technical issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods and provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. 

How you will make your mark  

• Responsible for verifying and implementing the detailed technical design solution to the problem as identified by the Project/Technical Manager 
• Implementation of complex solutions based on customer technologies and environments. 
• Provide advanced technical consulting and advice to others on proposal efforts, solution design, system management, tuning and modification of solutions 
• Collect and determine data from appropriate sources to assist in determining customer needs and requirements 
• Subject matter expert responsible for the overall delivery of one or more engineering work products 
• Participate in project stakeholder interactions as required and ensures  quality project deliverables are completed within required timeframe 
• Escalation of issues, problems, risks, and constraints to the appropriate parties for clarification and resolution 
• Collaboration with the project stakeholders to develop engineering designs, detailed project plans and work breakdown structures. 
•   Assess technical impact of specific activities and provide feedback for process improvements

About you:  

•  Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience. 
•  4+ years experience in a technical support environment
•  Fluency in English
• Strong knowledge on Server Hardware (ProLiant, Apollo)
• Strong knowledge on Storage Hardware: SAN hardware (Broadcom Switches, DWDM), SAN Software, StoreOnce,
• Excellent knowledge of Linux servers
• Knowledge of *NetbackUp is an advantage
• Knowledge of German language is a strong advantage
• Ability to work within a diverse regional/global team (PM, Delivery, Client & Engineering) 
• Ability to translate technical details into concise and easy to understand written form 
• Ability to effectively manage stressful situations, address frustrated clients and red projects, as well as devise and lead execution of corrective action 
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills.
