Testing Engineer

Objective of the position

• Plan all test and trial volumes
• Test and validate the functions of a part (center console, instrument panel) according to requirement specifications.

Principal activities

• Update and maintain the test- plans according to internal/external specifications.
• Discuss the contents with the involved internal departments and with the customers.
• Compile trial reports with result analyses.
• Make analyses (e.g. degree of maturity analyses, etc.) and implement/initiate derived action (e.g. to increase the degree of maturity, etc.)
• Participate if necessary in assuring the increase of the degree of maturity up to achieving the customer requirements (series production).
• Responsibility for trials and problem solving for DRX and supplier volumes in Cooperation with Development.
  • i.e. independently for not OK results:
  • Compile trial and analysis reports
  • Analyze causes in the project team
  • Develop, test and request improvement measures internally and to the supplier. Documentation based on an LOP.
• Compile all the documents relevant to functional Validation (e.g. technical reports, presentations, reports on project completion, functional profiles, etc.).
• Plan, carry out, evaluate and document all the trial scopes
• Responsibility for attaining on-schedule trial results in compliance with the trial and/or overall deadline plan on the corresponding milestones
• Present and represent the trial results internally and to the customer
• Develop Test Setups

Requirements:

Professional career: Engineering Technology Degree - Preferred.

Relevant experience: 2 years in Technician/business economist, Experience in development and/or testing within automotive industry, Knowledge of up to date Quality Standards, Knowledge of DRX development- and production- processes a plus.

Technical knowledge: Risk Analysis, Statistical Tools, Product Safety, IATF 16949:2016 Standard, Presentation Skills, Customer specific requirements, ISO 14001-2015 / ISO 45001:2018, Tools for problem solving.
