Testing Research Associate R&D (Sonora)

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Adopts and comply with company standards for sustainability, safety, health, and environment; in addition to company values, safeguarding equipment, data, processes, and IP protection.
• Identify reliable growers and establishes contracts for trial establishment on the region of coverage.
• Maintains continuous interaction to planning teams in the Americas for trial planning, seed delivery, acknowledgment and follow ups to establish trials on a calendarizedscheme.
• Executes company protocols and process digital workflows for trial experimental designs and layouts.
• Establishes trials for open field and protected culture, following commercial growers’ schemes by region and season.
• Ensuresrelevant crop management, for hybrids to express their potential performance.
• Collects data on a timely manner, complying with company protocols for data collection, use of company digital tools and process workflows.
• Organizes and executes data QA/QC before sending information to stakeholders and breeders, enabling partners to advance new products based on performance for market needs.
• Participates in technical meeting with breeders and stakeholders, providing feedback on hybrid performance to aid the criteria for hybrid advancement.
• Seeks for continuous improvement on the testing strategy, workstream evaluation, idea sharing, innovation, and technology adoption, in alignment with business objectives.

Who You Are

• Education: BSc. in Horticulture, Agronomy or related field with 4 years’ experience or a MS with 2 years of experience.
• Knowledge and experience with agricultural equipment and related research aspects, on the vegetablecrops industry preferably.
• Demonstrated ability to perform successfully on developing and executing project plans, analyzing, and interpreting data in a relatively low supervision environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to effectively achieve business results.
• Capacity to communicate and work effectively with all management levels in a multi-cultural organization.
• English skills good enough to write reports and communicate with stakeholders.
• Leadership to achieve the Data Point goals across Mexico for Melons and Watermelons and ensure success hybrids advanced to 4B, as the coordinator of this crops.
