Tool-Room Supervisor
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily activities in the tool room area.
- Assure the daily die performance is accomplished.
- Communication link with the Tool room team, train and motivate
- Warrant proper/accurate documentation in Die Tracking System.
- Updating all the Tracking Matrix Die Information
- Certify quality inspections are performed on all stamping dies
- Develop actions plans to maintain in good shape performances stamping dies
- Identify Capital Requirements and Cost Reduction per FY for the Tool Room Area.
- Write and Justify Capital Investment Requires per FY
- Ensure Tool room meets performance objectives
- Balance the tool room employee assignments/workload to ensure meets daily performance objectives
- Develop yearly evaluations to all the tool room associates
- Ensure Tool room resources are optimized and over time is used only when necessary
- Coordinate and communicate expedite shipment either for transfer, repair or new dies
- Perform new employee Toolmaker, safety, and ethics training
- Conduct safety/training/communication meetings with tool room employees as necessary, log records of communication meetings
- Enforce ZERO accidents philosophy at all times
- Enforce all safety precautions/training are used on all day-to-day operations
- Work with Engineering motor design to develop new concepts in laminations and manufacturing
- processes to improve motor performance and lamination processing.
- Develop and implement new designs in tooling and equipment for the manufacture of Hermetic motor laminations.
- Direct and/or assist with the installation, tryout, and start-up of lamination processing equipment and tooling. This includes all lamination facilities worldwide.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing problems to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineer Degree
- English - Conversional level
- 5 years of experience in Tool Room and Stamping Industry
- Development of tooling design for tamping dies
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge
