Global Trade Management roles lie either within the Trade Operations & Compliance or Export Controls area.

Senior Analysts will be responsible for researching, executing and/or leading process improvements to comply with either Customs or Export Controls regulations.

Trade Operations and Compliance -

Maintains a strong understanding of local laws, regulations and/or processes related to import/export licensing, registration, and filings; communicates important changes of relevant laws, regulations and/or processes to the business units.

Manages, audits, reviews, and reconciles relevant data for the assigned geography.

Monitors import/export activity for all business units in the assigned geography; reviews and presents management reports on import/export activities.

Understands compliance requirements in assigned geography; may develop new processes for collecting and analyzing data required for efficient operations and tasks.

Reviews applications for licenses, registrations and potential applicable benefits in the country of assignment; responds to non-routine questions and issues from various stakeholders; acts as a point of escalation for non-routine problems.

Contributes to process improvements as a team member; Provides guidance and direction on problems and issues.

Builds and maintains strong relationships with appropriate governmental organizations in the country of assignment.

Alerts the organization to any limits or restrictions the company is nearing to ensure ongoing compliance and ability to support business needs.

Export Controls:

Maintains a strong understanding of local laws, regulations and/or processes related to export control laws and regulations; communicates important changes and/or processes to the business units.

Reviews and monitors defense and dual-use programs for all business units in the assigned geography; reviews and presents management reports regarding the programs.

Reviews Restricted Party Screening potential matches and completes due-diligence investigations. Works with Legal to determine needed actions.

Manages Export Control Classification Assignments for assigned country in Global Trade Management System.

Prepares documentation and implements controls supporting the controlled goods programs and ensures compliance in the assigned geography.

Works with Cummins sites to implement controlled programs and secure server access.

Executes compliance audits with sites and supports improvement plans.

Contributes to process improvements as a team member; Provides guidance and direction on problems and issues.

Builds and maintains strong relationships with appropriate governmental organizations in the country of assignment.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree or equivalent experience required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Intermediate level (3 to 5 years) of relevant work experience preferred.
