Trade & Compliance Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Manage trade compliance team and resources.
  • Being a team member in all company projects for trade compliance support.
  • Review and apply company's Trade Compliance policies.
  • Import Export daily operations coordination.
  • Annexes 24 and 30 update and processing.
  • Ministry of Economy programs management: IMMEX maquila, IMMEX services, PROSEC.
  • SAT agency certifications management: VAT certification administration and Reliable Importer.
  • CTPAT and AEO Mexico certifications management.
  • USMCA qualification.
  • Update and Improvement of Trade Compliance procedures.
  • Attend any internal, external or government audit related to customs or fiscal.
  • Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
  • Non-Preferential Country of Origin determinations.
  • Free Trade Agreement qualification analysis and documentation
  • Antidumping (ADD) and Countervailing (CVD) Duty analyses.
  • Supply Chain Security Programs (OEA and/or CTPAT).
  • Restricted Party & Transaction Screening.
  • Customs Valuation.
  • Developing and updating local work instructions and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree (or equivalent education outside the U.S., preferably in business, international trade, supply chain, legal studies, or a related field).
  • Five years of demonstrated Trade Compliance experience.
  • Leadership and teamwork best practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of Mexican Customs Law and Foreign Trade Rules (RGCE) and other related applicable import/export regulations (Ley Comercio Exterior, SECON Rules, NOMs, etc.)
  • Expertise on IMMEX, PROSEC and Rule 8th; proven experience applying to a business model.
  • Experience obtaining and maintaining IVA and OEA certifications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively prioritize and execute.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Travel up to 20%

Preferred Education:

  • Graduate degree (e.g., MBA, JD, or equivalent education outside the U.S.)
  • Experience with Oracle business systems and/or Oracle Global Trade Management
  • Proficient use of the English language (both spoken and written)
  • Prisma Global Trade XXI experience (desirable)
