Transport Controller and take charge of ensuring seamless operations for QuickSTAT & Sterling Aviation consignments.
Your Role
As a
Transport Controller you will monitor live network activities, uphold pricing policies, and collaborate across departments to elevate client satisfaction. Are you ready to steer the course in transportation excellence?
Your Responsibilities
- Scheduling & allocation of drivers to daily collections & deliveries nationwide.
- Scheduling & allocation of drivers to airport recoveries from inbound flights & outbound tenders.
- Arrange suitable amalgamations based on consignment pick-up windows / delivery deadlines & locations.
- Monitoring all daily collections & deliveries liaising with employed drivers and third-party sub-contractors to ensure driver schedules are being met.
- Data entry of key milestone information (Pick Up confirmation / Out for Delivery / Proof of Delivery details / Airline Tender / Airline Recovery).
- Management of shared mailbox, to include the receipt of new transport bookings and internal queries.
- Keep the Management team advised of potential & confirmed issues as they arise.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Specialist (Life Sciences / AOG) Courier Operation Experience.
- Extensive knowledge of the UK Road networks.
- Experience of planning collections / deliveries throughout theUK.
- Experience of working to strict deadlines.
- Comprehensive understanding of Courier / Freight Operationsincluding Import / Export / Warehouse & Transport.
- Understanding of transit milestones (COB/OFD/TTA/POD etc.)
- Comprehensive understanding of the various temperature-controlledpackaging solutions available on the open market to forwarders.
