Travel Analyst

The Travel & Expense Analyst is a key part of the global travel and expense team. This role will be responsible for collecting travel data and ensuring the data is accurate. They will build automated data reports for Finance leadership and Finance partners. This role will work alongside travel team members on RFx events and collaborates with other Riot teams on finance processes. They will prepare training material for the travel & expense platforms. This role will review travel & expense data to ensure it complies with Riot’s travel policy. They will interact regularly with a variety of Rioters and vendors on inquiries and troubleshooting requests.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain analytical tools and resources for travel team
• Build and automate reporting while ensuring accuracy
• Coordinate global data collection and analysis with partners and international offices ensuring data efficiency and quality
• Analyze travel & expense data and trends 
• Develop reports for key stakeholders, including finance leaders
• Manage and drive RFx process for travel services
• Regularly meet with vendors to collect and analyze vendor product releases and make recommendations to the team on which to pursue 
• Create accrual analysis of travel & expense activity for accounting
• Develop and maintain training material for external and internal stakeholders
• Propose policy changes and enhancements where appropriate
• Effectively communicate to a variety of customers and stakeholders to provide guidance and help drive solutions

Required Qualifications: 

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• 3+ years of data management experience, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data
• 2+ years experience building reports for senior leaders
• 2+ years travel booking systems and expense management software
• Advanced spreadsheet proficiency (e.g. Excel, Google Sheets - power queries, macros, dashboards, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and/or certifications

Desired Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience effectively using software to analyze data and identify trends
• 2+ years experience with Power BI, Tableau
