User Acceptance Testing Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starting individual to join our Go To Market Business Systems UAT Testing team.  As a User Acceptance Testing Manager, you will assist with the coordination and management of UAT across Thomson Reuters business system related enhancements, mergers and acquisitions, and specialized projects.  Utilizing Agile/Hybrid methodologies, you will partner closely with UAT Leads, Business Subject Matter Experts, and 3rd party Vendors to manage the UAT lifecycle and ensure all project milestones are met. A UAT Manager known for strong leadership, collaborative communication, and a commitment to achieving measurable results is required.

About the role:

In this opportunity as User Acceptance Testing Manager, you will:

  • Management: Provide guidance and support to a team of UAT specialists in their day-to-day activities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the UAT team.
  • UAT Strategy and Planning: Implement Thomson Reuters UAT strategies, aligning them with overall project objectives. Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and development teams to ensure seamless integration of UAT into the project life cycle.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business units, project teams, and senior leadership. Act as a point of contact for escalations and issue resolution related to UAT.
  • Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and deliverables. Identify and address resource gaps.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor UAT progress and provide regular status reports to senior management.
  • Collaboration with Development Teams: Collaborate with development teams to understand the impact of code changes on UAT activities. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between UAT and development teams.
  • Facilitate UAT Strategy and approach sessions and Test Case creation workshops with business testing SMEs
  • Partner with business and technical scrum teams for story grooming activities
  • Manage issue tracking and bug lifecycle
  • Facilitate mitigation planning for any open defects near cycle or project closure

About you:

You're a fit for the role of User Acceptance Testing Manager if your background includes:

  • 5+ years related experience
  • 3+ years Test Management related experience
  • Previous Project Management, Business Analyst or Agile Test Management experience working in technologies of Salesforce.com, Service Cloud, or SAP/HANA.
  • 2+ years direct experience with SFDC, Service Cloud, or SAP HANA
  • Experience working with and leading within a Global Team
  • Experience working within Agile teams
  • Experience with full life cycle software implementations
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.          
  • Proven experience in leading UAT teams or managing testing activities in a complex software development environment
  • Strong understanding of UAT methodologies within the Agile software development life cycle
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Certification in Test Mgmt, Project Mgmt, Business Analysis or Agile testing methodologies is a plus
  • Ability to work in a dynamic matrix environment and influence groups outside of team to execute efficiently
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills required
  • Excellent influence and negotiations skills required
