The IT Outsourcing Category Manager is an experienced procurement expert that has deep category expertise (incl. application development & maintenance, infrastructure outsourcing, operations and IT services) and understands how to implement viable procurement solutions considering the software development lifecycle in the content of a reinsurance environment. In addition, agile methodology sourcing and implementation experience with proven complex contract negotiation experience is a must.

The individual will be able navigate ambiguity and bring strong partnering skills and the ability to influence business partners at various levels throughout the Swiss Re organization.

As part of the IT Outsourcing (ITO) Procurement team and working closely with the wider Group Procurement networks and vendors globally, you will drive procurement initiatives to meet overall supply/demand requirements whilst implementing sustainable cost reduction and service improvements globally in-line with business and or IT domain expectations.

We are looking for a candidate who:

·      Has a bachelor's degree in science, technology or business administration. We have a strong preference for CIPS or similar professional qualification

·      Has excellent command over English language, other language is desirable

·      Has ideally ten (10) years of Sourcing experience in the insurance, re-insurance or financial services industry

·      Whose capability of category, demand and vendor management is on an advanced level

·      Has very good comprehension of Sourcing systems

·      Possesses well-developed interpersonal skills

·      Has strong focus on customer and excellent advisory skills and is able to effectively collaborate with internal customers and external vendors
