We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of

Americas Regulatory Reporting Transaction Testing Lead

 

Role purpose:

This position will be responsible for ensuring the data integrity of the regulatory Reporting processes by testing transactions and validating they are reported correctly on regulatory returns.  This role will be instrumental in the delivery of global Project Magnus objectives with primary focus on strengthening the US Regulatory Reporting data integrity.

Project Magnus is a global reporting improvement program, covering Financial and Regulatory Reporting Risk, with primary focus on the accuracy of regulatory (non-SOX) reporting across the Americas region and Group. Project Magnus will define and implement globally consistent control standards across end-to-end processes for the most critical regulatory reports and also uplift the Regulatory Reporting inventory management framework and systems, with the ultimate goal of delivering strategic, preventative and integrated control design and execution along with standardization and simplification of reporting processes, systems and data architecture.

Main activities: 

·         The role holder will be a key member of the Finance Operations team and participate in various committees such as US Audit Committee and US Executive Committee

·         Supporting the detailed documentation of business requirements, working with multiple cross-functional stakeholders

·         The role holder needs to have a good understanding of change & implementation approaches, tools, and techniques for gathering, clarifying, and managing business requirements and selects and applies the right approaches, tools, and techniques according to context – ensuring seamless delivery

·         The role holder works with dynamic plans in a fast-moving environment, continually assessing priorities and progress and adjusting their focus where necessary, being sure to maintain alignment with other programme work streams / projects

·         The role holder to ensure the team meets performance targets that are aligned to Assurance objectives

·         Contribute SME knowledge, driving continuous improvement in the process

·         Manage the implementation of governance standards for programs in the project

·         Act as a role model to create and maintain a collaborative team environment which supports on the job learning and self-driven development

·         Promote the Group’s Values and strategy by driving engagement e.g. through timely communication.

·         Effective management information: The role holder must focus attention and enable effective, efficient decision making at senior leadership level

·         Manage the Reg Reporting Transaction Testing portfolio and lead the activities within it

·         Promote a culture of continuous innovation, challenge the approach and apply knowledge of relevant latest developments

·         Support the overall performance of the team to ensure respond commercially in meeting the challenges of internal and external demands

·         Develop and maintain a deep pool of Transaction Testing expertise with a commercial sense of continuous improvement

Solicitud

·         Knowledge of finance functions such as Regulatory reporting, Accounting, Reconciliation and reporting in the financial services sector is a must

·         Understanding of SOX, operational risk and COSO frameworks would be required

·         At least 12-15 years of relevant experience in financial services sector. Should have at least 5-7 years of related Assurance/data testing experience, leadership experience and/or regulatory reporting experience.

·         Strong audit and or control function experience would be beneficial

·         Risk and control experience as a first line of defense

·         Experience in performing risk and control assessments, conducting risk committees and managing SOX framework is recommended

·         Must possess strong cross-functional relationships and/or be able to quickly build new relationships

·         People & stakeholder management

·         Good business writing skills, Strong communication and presentation skills

·         Should have eye for detail and problem solving and influencing skills

·         Ability to challenge information presented, providing reasoned explanation to ensure that agreement is reached by both parties

·         Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members/wider business including senior executive management and ability to develop a good rapport in challenging situations

·         Able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines

·         Assertive, with a positive attitude and an open mind
