General Responsibilities:

The Associate ManagerMarketing Procurement LATAM will have responsibility of supporting the Indirect Sourcing strategies in the LATAM region, with focus on Marketing, Trade Marketing, Human Resources and Professional Services categories. This role is responsible for the timely and cost-effective sourcing of indirect goods and services for assigned categories and countries in accordance with the Global Category Strategies. This role will coordinate the Marketing Procurement activities throughout the assigned Countries in the LATAM region. This role will be under the supervision of the LATAM Indirect Sourcing SR Manager. The Indirect Procurement Associate Manager will support the continuous alignment of stakeholders in the LATAM region. 

To leverage Newell Brands’ spend across the region, the Associate Manager will research, select, develop, and maintain adequate relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal quality, service, and cost. To facilitate this job requirement, the person in the position will create a strong link with the Indirect Global Category teams to ensure application of the appropriate category strategy.

The Associate Manager will help on implementing Newell Brands Global Processes strategy for LATAM by increasing usage of standard practices/tools. It is expected that this person creates relationships to stakeholders throughout all corporate functions and Divisions that operate in the LATAM Region.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execute productivity initiatives related to the Marketing, Trade Marketing, Human Resources and Professional Services categories of Indirect Sourcing in LATAM region to provide best cost and value.
• Coordinate procurement initiatives to ensure visibility to the procurement process with the stakeholders
• Management of local/regional sourcing projects that will require utilization of their professional knowledge
• Revision of contracts and annual cost increase negotiations.
• Develop pricing agreements and cost reduction initiatives with suppliers.
• Negotiation of local/regional Goods & Services sourcing initiatives
• Lead formal supplier performance management reviews, where applicable
• Development of analysis and report to guide Global Indirect Sourcing Managers in developing global category strategies and/or business cases.
• Communication of category strategy and status to senior management to ensure alignment.
• Evaluate our existing supplier relationships and take charge of initiatives aimed at retaining key strategic partners while discontinuing relationships with non-essential suppliers.
• Negotiate payment terms according to the local procurement policy.
• Support deployment of Enterprise Indirect Sourcing Procurement initiatives in LATAM.
• Working with various functions and business units within Newell Brands.
• Ensure procurement compliance in LATAM region.
• Also be of support for any sourcing activities required that may not be directly on the indirect side.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years’ experience in Procurement.
• Experience negotiating regional agreements for key Services.
• Strong analytical and good communication skills.
• Effective oral and written English communication skills – Additional languages (Portuguese) are a plus.
• Effective Excel experience and skills
• ARIBA and SAP experience preferable
• 3 years of Marketing categories experience
