THE OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN US
We are looking for a Logistics Category Manager to be in charge of the development, management, review, and implementation of the Overseas and Inland Logistics Procurement strategies. The main challenges are related to LAM imports and export sea flows (FCL / LCL), ISO tank - Rental, Bulk shipping (Vessel chartering), Freight Forwarding, Air Freight, Warehousing, Bulk terminal storage, and Surveyors, delivering productivity in terms of pricing, process efficiencies and cash flow improvement.
WE COUNT ON YOU TO:
• Manage and perform of this full portfolio, including establishing sourcing strategies, setting strategic objectives, optimizing supplier’s portfolio and executing strategic transformative projects. He/she will manage relationships with key suppliers, ensure alignment with IFF business objectives, and participate with Global category teams to align sourcing strategies with global, regional, and local business needs.
• Ensure strategically supply resilience being for our key suppliers ‘customer of first choice.’
• Create productivity projects pipeline through the different areas, to ensure the delivery of hard savings and cashflow benefits, as well as innovate and deploy initiatives to accelerate and move forward with ESG agenda for Logistics Category (mainly the definition of a CO2 reduction roadmap in partnership with our key suppliers), ensuring the best cost to serve to IFF customers.
• As a member of the Global Logistics Procurement Team, as needed, to be responsible for, and lead the sourcing, negotiation and contracting of Logistic Supplier Performance (LSP), including Shipping Lines for FCL / LCL trade flows in and out of the Mexico BU, meeting the regional and global requirements.
• Manage costs in a volatile Maritime market through the development of competitive cost suppliers and the consolidation of the incumbent supplier base.
• Responsible for the proactive communication of current and upcoming logistics market changes.
• Enforce, monitor, and evaluate purchasing strategies in relation to stakeholders, internal customers, and suppliers.
• Work closely with IFF Procurement / Supply Chain to monitor and analyze logistics data in order to ensure volume trends are, and performance is, in line with agreed expectations.
• Be responsible for the management of the logistics supplier base (number of suppliers, commercial and performance evaluation, QSE, among others) and for ensuring the successful implementation of Logistics Procurement processes, designing and tracking relevant SLA´s for strategical suppliers.
• Be responsible for Risk Management (Financial risk, HSE risks, among others.) of selected suppliers in order to ensure on-time and safe delivery to costumers.
• Work closely with Global, Regional and Local stakeholders to set and agree on clear requirements and expectations relating to the Logistics Procurement results and suppliers’ performance.
