We are looking to fill a key role to develop and grow trademark licensing at Honeywell. The role is paramount to growing licensing as a business throughout China and Southeast Asia. The candidate will be responsible for driving new licensing opportunities and communicating with business leaders/owners to facilitate their understanding of the value of licensing our brands, both internally and externally. The successful candidate will have a passion for licensing and be able to find and select licensees across manufacturers, distributors, competitors, and marketing/sales companies.
JOB ACTIVITIES
• Business Development: Find and secure new trademark licensees in China and Southeast Asia
• Grow Core Business: Grow current licensee portfolio through additional adjacent product categories
• Internal Alignment & Execution: Work with internal China and SEA business teams and execute strategic plans that support Licensing as a Business and the Core Product Business
• Strategy and Market Research: Develop business/financial cases to facilitate internal approvals for new licensing opportunities
• Negotiation: Lead negotiations with licensing partners, ensuring favorable terms for Honeywell
• Contract Management: Work closely with the Legal Team on new agreements and agreement renewals
• Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the performance of licensees, identifying areas for growth/improvement and ensuring alignment with their financial targets
• Relationship Management: Act as a coach to licensees in China and SEA to help them be successful within the Honeywell Licensing Organization
• Projects: Support significant licensing initiatives, such as the social media program, the Licensee Summit, and retail assessment and improvement
• Cross-functional teamwork
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor's degree
• 5 years of experience in trademark or technology licensing and/or Business Development
• Located in Shanghai CN
