What You'll Do
- Track the business operations’ capital project portfolio and create/track metrics across the that drive visibility and measurable improvements.
- Play a key role in capturing data across systems to maintain a user-friendly repository that tracks the capital project portfolio activity, including project health metrics (schedule, cost), and resource allocations, to allow functional managers and other users to make more informed future business decisions.
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities centering around data analysis and visualization.
- Enable the impacted group to operate with greater visibility to data and enable fact-based decision making.
- Familiar with SAP/ERP systems
- Familiar with workflows for databases
- Develop dashboards and reports for the Capital Business Office (CBO)
- Ability to translate business trends and goals into a data driven analytical approach
- Proactively identifies strategic improvements in tools and processes
- Excellent teamwork and ability to function across multiple areas of the business
- Provide support to Capital Business Office and other Cross-functional teams across the Global Operations organization to understand overall business goals, resource demand, and improve reporting.
- Ability to use Power BI (or similar software tool) to display project metric trends (cost, schedule, resources)
- Develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives that will benefit Capital Business Office
- Complies with all regulations and standards for quality, Environmental, Health, Safety, and Energy (EHS&E) Global Policies, Abbott Engineering Standards, and other governance areas as applicable
- This role will interface (calls/emails) with the Global business’s manufacturing sites and functions in countries all around the world, requiring flexibility in communication and cultural sensitivities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of strong business analytics experience.
- Familiar with the Project Management Life Cycle
- Extensive competencies in documentation and data management
- Strong written and presentations skills; ability to communicate effectively with senior management and work well with team
- Possesses interpersonal skills to negotiate and reconcile differences to all levels within the organization
- Personal integrity and courage to escalate any project or process issues and advocate for responsible solutions to management
- Accountability – works under general direction toward predetermined goals and objectives
- Adaptability and flexibility including the ability to manage deadlines
- Strong Microsoft Office experience – advanced MS Excel and IT system experience desired
- The candidate must have a broad background of industry best practices and performance metrics, as well as financial and project portfolio acumen.
- Travel 10%
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Power BI knowledge/experience preferred
- a strong understanding of technical concepts, modeling/simulation capabilities, and/or a manufacturing background

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
