Tax Compliance and Planning:
- Oversee all aspects of tax compliance, including federal, state, and local tax filings.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure the company's tax strategies remain effective and compliant.
US Accounting:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with US GAAP standards.
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather financial data and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GA-AP.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Present financial reports to senior management and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable:
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment processing, collections, and credit management.
- Implement and maintain efficient processes and controls to optimize cash flow and minimize risk.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of vendor accounts and customer accounts.
Quick Books Expertise:
- Utilize Quick-Books software to manage accounting records, generate reports, and streamline accounting processes.
- Provide training and support to accounting staff on Quick-Books functionality and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Quick-Books usage.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with a focus on taxes, US accounting procedures, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial statements, and Quick-Books.
- Extensive knowledge of US tax laws and regulations, with experience in tax planning and compliance.
- Strong understanding of US GA AP standards and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Quick-Books software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
