On the stunning southern coast of Mexico’s Baja peninsula, experience Cabo’s Golden Corridor, ideally located between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo.

This ultra-luxury ocean-front resort will include 96 beautifully appointed guestrooms and 61 Residences, Amenities will include three restaurants, five bars, three pools, an open-air fitness center designed by celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, Spa with ten treatment rooms and relaxation oasis, and The Clubhouse.

The Clubhouse is perched above the resort with sweeping Ocean views, and it is being designed as THE place to host spectacular weddings and events for up to 250 people.

It will feature and event lawn for ceremonies, an indoor / outdoor ballroom, living room space for entertaining, and a bridal suite.

The role of the Credit Manager

Maintain proper credit procedures in the hotel in accordance with local and corporate policies and procedures. Control and monitor prompt and accurate billing and collection of all accounts receivable items in order to maintain the lowest possible outstanding accounts at all times.

Knowledge and Skills

College education or equivalent.

Minimum one to three years of experience in related position with Four Seasons or other organization.

Excellent reading, writing & oral proficiency in the English and Spanish language.

Occasional travel,

Highest level of integrity and transparency,

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams, excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver reports,

Effective presentations and to facilitate meetings, promote a continuous learning environment that creates an atmosphere for professional development opportunities, apply an ethical approach to influence the outcome of situations,

Serve as a role model for others by demonstrating appropriate business conduct and ethical principles, continuously seek to improve / develop the performance of others and continuously strive to improve his / her own performance, work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.

Essential Functions

  • Establish and maintain local credit policies and procedures regarding billing, credit cards, collection, inquiries, and cheque cashing and prepare month-end and year-end reports and reconciliations in accordance with established corporate guidelines.
  • Ensure all inquiries from guests or credit card companies are handled promptly (same day if possible) and professionally.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate billing for all accounts and timely collection follow-up.
  • Maintain credit histories, original approved written requests for credit and other records for regular hotel accounts.
  • Ensure that the check-in / check-out procedure adequately protects the hotel without burden or delay to the guests of the hotel.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regular clients to foster communication and assist in collection.
  • Prepare and conduct a monthly credit meeting.
  • File documents and reports.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or Assistant Director of Finance.
  • Manage collection of accounts approved for billing and process upon departure payments and supervise the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Receivable staff and evaluate performance based on the hotel policies.
  • Recommend improvements in the operation of Accounts Receivable to the Director of Finance.
  • Review Guest Ledger High Balance Report daily and bring discrepancies to the attention of the Front Office Manager and Director of Finance if not resolved.
