Business Insights & Analytics – Data Visualization expert

As Eli Lilly strives to achieve its purpose of making life better for patients, we have been building up our in-house ‘transformation’ function, which will partner with other functions to ensure data driven insights to Lilly USA change initiatives

BI&A is partnering across the organization to ensure the Lilly USA change initiatives are grounded in data and analytics to help maximize their potential, and is on the path to delivering efficient, effective and innovative improvements for customers. Current focus areas include support of Omnichannel orchestration, Healthcare Professional (HCP) Media data, HCP Journey Builder etc.

To support the above initiatives especially HCP Media in their decision-making, this team uses works closely with business stakeholders to enable them to make more informed, data driven decisions.

Core Responsibilities:

Seamless Analytics Delivery: Partner with BI&A teammates (LCCI), Data Strategy and Reporting teams, BI&A therapeutic area-focused teams and BI&A Data Science teams on deliverables in a seamless analytics delivery model across different locations and teams.

• Working with media and digital advertising experts to help answer business questions by analysing large volumes of data to share findings from analysis along with recommendations to a wide variety of business and technical stakeholders
• Extract actionable insights from promotional data to improve marketing strategies, customer experiences, and business processes.
• Developing into a trusted advisor by actively participating in various phases of the project including kick-off, methodology development, execution, insight generation and data visualization and results presentation to various stakeholders
• Participating in meetings with stakeholders and communicating the final outputs and recommendations

Project Management: Execute deliverables abiding by project management principles and demonstrating strong cross functional communication and collaboration.

• Ensure clear documentation of best practices, methodology and code to increase reusability and efficiency across BI&A.
• Proactively coordinate learning and knowledge sharing across the BI&A team, and cross functional partners as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with all privacy and contractual obligations related to the use of data

Required

• 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience with SQL. Working knowledge of R or Python are good to have but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated history of breaking down unstructured business problems and translating them to more tangible problem-solving approaches.
• Proven experience working with Customer Data Platforms (CDP) or Data Management Platform (DMP) or CRM tool is preferred.
• Prior experience helping to co-ordinate and prioritize between multiple tasks of self and junior team members strongly preferred.

• Experience in gathering business requirements, transforming data and preparing readout and recommendation narratives from Analytics to share with Business users.
• Strong working knowledge of visualization tools such as (PowerBI preferred)

• Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to work with a high degree of autonomy.
• Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional, cross-geography teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Data and/or Business Analysts from Healthcare/Pharma/Retail/BFSI/Digital/ Media Ad companies
• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in technology, or Computer Science background
