Data Analyst

About the team:

The Office of Strategy Management (OSM) Analyst will be a highly skilled and motivated person, to be responsible for driving pivotal initiatives, optimizing performance metrics, and providing actionable insights to support informed decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, deep web, database and programming/coding knowledge, superb communication skills, and willingness to deeply understand our operation, with a focus on innovation and excellence. This analyst will provide the Head of OSM and functional leadership team with accurate analysis of performance that links strategic objectives to key performance indicators and highlight areas of risk and opportunities for greater strategic alignment.

Accountabilities:

• Conduct comprehensive analyses of our operational trends and activities, develop and measure performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement of all of our hub's functions.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track progress against strategic objectives and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans, including strategies, and portfolio optimization.
• Develop integral solutions that will drive digitization and optimization of processes.
• Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior leadership based on data-driven insights and analysis.
• Lead ad-hoc projects and initiatives to address critical business challenges and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
• Keep abreast of technological developments, changes, and best practices to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Support assessment of all aspects of business performance in the functional areas: create and design appropriate measures, evaluate metrics and outputs and report on business performance and trends so that higher management will understand risks and actions to mitigate these.
• Support the hub’s scorecard, ensuring alignment with the wider AZ reporting frameworks. 
• Run sophisticated data collation across activities and from multiple data sources to enable regular scorecard production.
• Work cross-functionally with all support functions, tower teams, and geographies.

Must skills/requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong customer focus and attention to detail
• Ability to work well in and across diverse, global teams and proven ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes
• Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language
• Continuous Improvement mindset with ability to improve existing analysis and processes
• Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Solid understanding of BI and Portfolio tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, AWS)

Desirable skills/experience:

• Master's degree or MBA desirable.
• 5+ years of experience in similar role.
• Experience with analysis and modelling
• Project management experience.
• Experience with data governance and compliance.
• Knowledge of industry best practices in strategy management.
• Working knowledge of Analysis tools (e.g. R, Predictive Workbench, Python)
