ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
Support the Sr. Data Scientist leading the UI/UX developments to build, improve and enhance Polaris, Financial Planning, tool. Works as per Business/Stakeholders priorities.
Reports to: Data Science Director
Geographic Scope: US
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
• Build and improve visual tools for application development and data science that enable users to build an end-to-end application quickly.
• Design core elements, and properties by understanding the software requirements, constraints, interfaces, and dependencies.
•Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
•Collaborate with DevOps team to ensure proper deployment and monitoring of applications
•Identify and solve technical challenges, and proactively propose solutions to improve the application architecture and performance
•Work very closely with, and incorporate feedback from Product Management, User, Designers, Front-End and Back-End Engineers.
•Active participation in cross-team technical design discussions on application architecture, UI components, UX, back-end and third-party integration, and testing.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE
- Fluent in NoSQL & relational-based systems.
- +3 years of strong hands-on experience and understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and web application development.
- Strong technical skills in Python, SQL server, and relational databases
- Experience in the overall architecture of big data systems, and cloud services/systems. (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Front-end tools knowledge in Dash, Flask, Angular or similar.
- Experience in analytical platforms (Databricks)
- Develop and maintain web applications using modern web frameworks.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
