Capgemini is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Scientist for a top 10 US Insurance Carrier.

Location: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, or Mexico.

As a Data Scientist, you play a crucial role. You will be part of a team that builds and operationalizes predictive models and provides statistical analysis and data visualization services for one and/or several lines of business and/or shared service functions. You will work on end-to-end solutions, design innovative analytic models, and be responsible for pulling and cleaning datasets, evaluating models, and presenting results to internal teams.

Requirements

  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can drive business insights.
  • Collect, clean, and transform large datasets using SQL and other data manipulation tools.
  • Develop and implement advanced analytical models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
  • Create reusable models (framework)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and data visualization.

Qualifications and Experience:

Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of Data experience (with at least 3+ years in Data Science role)
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data manipulation tools.
  • Strong skills in Python and GitHub.
  • Create and maintain data visualizations and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or other similar tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and an inquisitive mind with strong attention to detail and accuracy in analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Independent and autonomous with strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly and concisely.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Available to work in the US Pacific Time Zone, but as part of a team working on the East Coast, an overlap between 9 am and 2 pm (Pacific) will be required to work with both teams (East and West Coast).

Nice to have:

  • Experience on Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Insurance and/or actuarial knowledge
