Responsibilities

The Opportunity 

The Demand Planner contributes to PepsiCo Beverages success by developing accurate sales forecasts. This is accomplished by leveraging data and statistical models to guide the decision making process for the assigned markets in consultation with other key process stakeholders.

Your Impact 

As PBNA MBS Demand Planning Analyst your responsibilities would consist of

  • Manage division innovation forecasts by reviewing and adjusting raw case forecast and planner codes and working with the sector team to incorporate strategic direction. Own UPC end to end consolidation process
  • Develop disaggregation analysis reporting and provide customer planners with opportunities to drive forecast accuracy through adjustments
  • Support ad-hoc analytical needs as needed by developing programs, tools, analyzing data, and/or creating visualizations in Excel and/or
  • Support DP weekly processes including cuts review, bias review, outliers and activity request forms
  • Drive continuous improvement agenda by automating core processes including the case load in process
  • Work with division teams to drive improvement and visibility to B segment forecast accuracy
  • Identify drivers of error with the stat forecast and work with stat forecasting partners to resolve.
Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For? 

  • Fluent in English
  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in supply chain, business analytics, statistics, economics, engineering, or computer science.
  • A minimum of 1-1/2 years with a bachelor’s degree in developing and implementing business analytics applications is required. Prior work experience must include 1 year of experience in the following areas
  1. Desirable knowledge on statistical modeling and programming using SAS or R or Python, preferably for demand forecasting.
  2. Working with large volumes of data and proficiency in writing SQL queries on relational databases like Teradata, Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server is a plus.
  3. Full proficiency on Excel (macros).
  4. Creating insights and visualization using PowerBI, and/or Excel/VBA, Tableau is a plus.
  5. Researching data and processes to identify root causes of supply chain issues such as low products supply, low sales, irregular promotions effects, seasonal changes in sales
  6. Working with IT support teams on projects such as the technical implementation of supply chain tools and upgrading and supporting systems and software
  7. Experience in implementing or using demand forecasting software and understanding the demand planning process.
