Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and guidance to craft labor in support of a power equipment outage
- Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
- Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
- Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related discipline from an accredited university with a 3.0 or higher GPA
- Ability to gain unescorted access to nuclear power facilities in the U.S.A.
- Successful completion of required training programs is a minimum requirement.
- Ability to travel 80% annually to and from projects and various field assignments as required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
Desired Characteristics
- Solid understanding of Steam Turbine Operation OR Steam Boiler Operational Principals.
- Strong technical competence in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams dial and laser alignment and thermal growth equipment
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- English Language proficiency
Employment is contingent upon acceptable results of your pre-employment background and drug screening (to be taken within 48 hours of your receipt of the test paperwork). You may receive specialized classroom and laboratory training to prepare you for your assignment. You will be expected to complete periodic training to meet competency requirements for the position. All training courses attended must be successfully completed as a minimum requirement for employment.
The salary range for this position is $68,000 - $70,000 Annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus. Available benefits include Health and Retirement.
