First Line Manager

Shift based First Line manager opportunity with rotating shifts 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm which attract a 15% shift allowance

Your Role

Within this exciting fist Line Manager role, you will be overseeing the smooth daily operations and ensuring peak performance of the dispatch team. Utilising your expertise offering guidance, support, and a clear direction to ensure the team meet the expectations of internal and external customers.

Your Responsibilities

• First Line Managers are responsible for effective Resource Utilisation, Planning and Management activities as required.
• Manage and develop the team ensuring succession planning/talent management is in place.
• Conduct Management Briefs as required along with conducting Facilities reporting.
• Responsible for Absence & Discipline Management activities as required.
• Undertake Near Miss and Safety Concern Reporting, ensuring all accidents are reported to the Line Manager as required.
• Management of QSHE Investigations as required for safety compliance including root cause analysis, trend tracking and improvement plans.

Your Skills and Experiences

• Logistics management experience in a large fast moving environment
  
• Strong warehouse system experience
  
• Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate
  
• Financial and strategic management experience and commercial awareness
  
• Drive, determination and a track record in delivering continuous improvement
  
• Ability to influence, negotiate and deal with conflict successfully
