General Manager for our distribution center in Dallas, Texas.
Your Role
You will delegate responsibility across a range of departments and manage overall performance of the warehouse. You will develop strategic plan to establish warehouse objectives in regards to cost, productivity, customer service and profit. As a 3PL provider, we will count on your leadership skills to help drive excellent service for our valued customers.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop strategic plan for optimized productivity.
- Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivational work environment, and implementing innovative changes.
- Participate in trade organizations.
- Ensure the development of systems and procedures to manage physical facilities, human resources, equipment and products in a profitable manner.
- Conduct operations in compliance with federal, state, local statutes and OSHA regulations.
- Remain knowledgeable regarding changes in hardware and software technology.
- Assist in the establishment of customer service standards for all accounts, communicating these standards to all personnel. Maintain appropriate contact with customers and respond to requests when required.
- Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships.
- Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality in sanitation, maintenance, security, housekeeping, quality and safety of equipment.
- Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans.
- Reviewing customer contract and assist in negotiation/pricing.
- Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of all involved.
- You will monitor Human Resource policies and procedures.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business management or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in a 3PL environmentwith P&L responsibility.
- Experience in planning and budgeting.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
- Possess professional business demeanor.
- Possess workingknowledge of MS Office Suite.
