What Production Operation contributes to Cardinal Health
Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.

Job Summary
The Manager, Production Operation manages/coordinates teams and processes across multiple manufacturing areas. This job plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows to establish sequence and lead time of each production operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. The Manager, Production Operation ensures safe and compliant operations in assigned area and addresses quality issues as needed. This job has full management responsibility including hiring, firing and assessing the performance of team members.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the administration of resources and compliance with the objectives of the Production and Maintenance departments.

  • Leads, directs, and controls the day-to-day activities of multiple production lines to achieve the short and medium-term production objectives.

  • Monitor regulatory aspects, as well as applicable local and international regulations in accordance with what is described in the quality manual GS10004750_PR in current revisions and in accordance with the applicable regulations (ISO 13485, 21 CFR Parts 820, Japan Regulations, Brazilian RDC ANVISA, Australian TG(MD)R Sch3, Canada CMDR SOR/98-282).

  • Manage plant resources and activities to achieve objectives such as: MOD Requirements, Product Quality Specifications, Scrap, Customer Complaint Tracking, Defect Tracking, Efficiency, Service Level and Production and Maintenance departments as well as Process Engineering.

  • Plans, manages and reviews production operations to achieve output and quality objectives; undertaking production activities to transform tangible inputs (e.g., raw materials or semi-finished goods) or intangible inputs (e.g., ideas, information, know how) into finished products or services.

  • Develops and implements production schedules to ensure the effective use of labor, tools, plant and equipment.

  • Ensures that the production instructions and operations are meeting quality SOP’s and orders are completely accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Audits, monitors, and determines the quality of processes or outputs, either against defined internal or regulatory standards and reports/ responds to process deviations and defects.

  • Hires, leads, directs, evaluates, and develops team members to ensure the production team meets it's established targets and standards.

  • Responsible for ensuring the implementation of adequate resources, education and accountability of EHSMS.  Ensures EHS procedures, best practices and reporting are adhere to. 

Minimum Requirements

  • 6+ years experience in high level manufacturing leadership

  • BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field. Advance Degree

  • English: Advance is a must.

  • ISO 14001-45001

  • High degree of working knowledge of Lean six sigma

  • Solid and proven leadership skills
