Richemont one of the worl most prestigous luxury groups, is searching for a Head of Accounting and Tax to join Mexico HQ.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily activities
- Supervise local accounting for daily transactions, from the revenue management and expenses, using local ERP and corporate financial system and other financial tools.
- Manage general ledger activities ensuring adherence to corporate deadlines.
- Correction of journal in errors.
Monthly Key responsibilities
- Review monthly journal entries in local and corporate accounting.
- Detail general ledger account analysis and reconciliations between local and corporate books, coordination with HQ and key accounts reconciliations following corporate rules.
- Monthly Fluctuation Analysis-Provide variance analysis within month end close.
- Prepare monthly reporting to group and local management elaboration and analysis of financial statements, local and corporate for decision-making.
- Report and pay taxes on a timely basis to assure proper compliance with local regulations.
- Supervise payroll entries and conciliation between payroll and accounting
- Processing payment transactions using banking systems.
- Understanding accounts payable and the process involved and related special applications.
- Ability to answer accounting questions to local management.
- Intercompany Management / Netting Process
- Supervise Master data compliance with group guidelines
- Review accounting entries and supervision of work paper for Accruals
- Review of bank reconciliations
- Review of monthly closing folder
PwC Statutory Audits.
- Manage and coordinate the statutory audit process with the external auditors.
- Prepare Year End Close for CPA Annual Audit
- In charge of the full execution and deliverables of the audit.
- Escalate issues and bottleneck to GM/CFO when needed.
Yearly Key responsibilities
- Assist GM/CFO during budget process proving relevant account analysis to prepare office budget.
- This position is considered a hands-on manager role participating actively in all general accounting activities.
- Supervise fixed assets investments and depreciation following local and corporate rules.
- Provide information related to fixed assets for budget purposes.
- Active role in Internal Controls compliance/audit
- Provide assistance with AP/AR directions, Manage AP Workflow for proper coding and approvals. Review AR/AP aging reports and provide guidance
- AR Claiming Process
- Monitor Revenue Recognition
- Annual Inventory and Cycle counts revisions
Team coaching and management:
- Control and promote the professional growth of team members
- Develop the efficiency of team’s work relationships with internal and external partners
- Define and communicate missions and objectives of all team members, clearly establishing priorities
- Conduct performance appraisals for all team members
- Assess training needs for the team and plan their career evolution.
