The Director of Rooms oversees the total operation of the property including inspecting rooms daily supervising preventive maintenance strategies and managing budgeting forecasting cost control inventory management quality assurance scheduling and procurement. They ensure compliance with all departmental policies service procedures and standards maintaining superior standards daily. Responsibilities also include preparing the Annual Rooms Division Budget establishing operational and financial goals and strategies achieving Rooms Division s Departmental profit ensuring compliance with annual training programs establishing and maintaining hotel standards for luxury status promoting the hotel through marketing campaigns and ensuring employee compliance with resort policies and procedures. The Director of Rooms also interacts with guests staff and community members in a courteous and professional manner supervises and influences staff to maintain service standards and works closely with other management team members to achieve the resorts goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree (or equivalent) in Hospitality
  • Minimum five years of working experience as EAM of Rooms Director of Rooms or Hotel Manager in luxury hospitality brands
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Excellent leadership communication and decisionmaking skills
  • Solid experience with Financial Management including P&L responsibility revenue management expense control financial reporting and budgeting
  • Guest Relations skills including exemplary communication and interpersonal skills complaint resolution exceeding guest expectations and fostering guest loyalty
