About the Role
You will work closely with local teams toprovide subject matter expertise to theline of business forglobal tax requirements including VAT, CIT, Withholding Tax, VAT, self-assessed taxes, supplier and customer tax withholding, payments, and PE risks. Supporting tax advisory on day-to-day initiatives and new products
What the Candidate Will Do
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the product and business and assess all tax aspects of new business lines and initiatives in the region.
- Working closely with local teams to provide subject matter expertise to the LOBs for global tax requirements including VAT, CIT, Withholding Tax, VAT, self-assessed taxes, supplier and customer tax withholding, payments, and PE risks.
- Support in tax advisory on day to day initiatives and new products.
- Support external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility.
- Provide insights to core business teams on tax impacts.
- Tax Policy and Transfer Pricing support.
- Close the loop between tax and business team with data for decision.
- Keep track of new products or initiatives from your subregions and alignment with regional leadership
Basic Qualifications
- +3 years of law firm experience strongly preferred with in-house background, ideally in Fortune 500, US based corporation
- Spanish and English proficiency
- Project management skill set, working with stakeholders around Latin America to drive home projects
- You're bilingual in data and storytelling, and know how to translate technical analysis into a human narrative
- Data is your bottom line; you use business judgement and experimentation to measure the impact of taxes to our growth and profitability
- Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting or similar
- International tax operations knowledge and familiarity of tax issues for a multinational company operating globally
- Organizational, technical, analytical, problem solving skills and attention to detail
