Your Role
As an IT Cloud Architect, you are responsible for driving the cloud strategy for the Quoting and Pricing products as well as designing and implementing cloud-native computing architecture and applications, ensuring sound technical decisions and high solution quality.Additionally, you can act as a disciplinary manager for a small team of IT specialists. In the role of a Team Lead, you work in close contact with other product and Team Leads and act as a link in our product organization.Your Responsibilities
- Be part of the full software development cycle and design, implement, and deliver the application in collaboration with customers, stakeholders, and users.
- Plan, drive, implement, and migrate web applications to new cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to other team members, especially software developers.
- Keep the overall (cloud) architecture in focus and collaborate with other architects in defining standards and conventions and make sure that they are adhered to by the team.
- Collaborate in setting up processes that ensure the technical quality of implemented solutions (e.g., reviews of technical designs and infrastructure-as-code).
- Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
- Responsible for defining team members’ technical as well as personal development needs. Ensure onboarding and training of new team members.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Hands-on experience of 3+ years in a similar position with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure etc.).
- Knowledgeable in available solutions suitable for cloud environments and applications, e.g., for monitoring, logging, or CI/CD.
- High awareness of security, privacy, and financial aspects of cloud computing
- Solid experience with current Java Enterprise technologies Java, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate.
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture, API first approach, and tools like ArchUnit appreciated.
- Proactivity and ability to perform duties without immediate supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of the staff and stakeholders.
- Team-oriented work style and good leadership skills.
