- Coordinate outbound shipments requests received via e-mail, phone, and fax for pickup and delivery of trailers, containers, open Tops and other various modes of transportation. Communicate outbound shipments to all operational departments.
- Request appointments for all outbound shipments to customers and coordinate freight with freight providers in all locations. Communicate and ensure freight companies adhere to pick-up appointments.
- Request customer pick ups from customers and coordinate movements with all operational departments in all facilities.
- Request and coordinate container bookings with export customers. Coordinate drayage to and from ramp at all WSR locations.
- Arrange over-the-road shipments for all WSR locations.
- Arrange inter-company transfers. Coordinate and communicate with all operational departments about such movements.
- Negotiate all freight rates with brokers, carriers, and drayage providers.
- Enter all outbound freight information into internal systems.
- Update and Maintain logistics calendar for all locations
- Maintain all outbound container logs and information
- Update and maintain outbound logistics reports and spreadsheets for all facilities.
- Confirms delivery and pick up at customer sites.
- Create all purchase requisitions for outbound freight for all locations.
- Effectively communicate all outbound shipments movements to correct departments in all facilities.
- Requests rail bills and return loaded containers to specified rail yard and time.
- Problems solve any issues related to shipments of goods.
- Provide excellent customer service to intra-company departments and outside customers.
- Support trading department and operations with all shipments needs.
- Ad-hoc problem solving.
- Effectively communicate with different departments.
