About the role
Experienced Accountant, overseeing general accounting processes such as inter-company cash, cash management, government accounting, financial reporting, project accounting, and / or balance sheet management.
Responsible for overseeing accounting policies, procedures, and controls in order to ensure adherence to regulations and organization guidelines.
Support specific RTR COE functions and streamline processes while ensuring strong and uniform controls. This role engages on specific activities, partners with Carrier COE RTR team members to ensure delivery of quality and timely financial reporting with a strong focus on internal control environment.
The COE structure and model is a critical part of Carrier transformation with a clear focus on analysis and decisioning the overall taxonomy for the RTR function and ownership between Carrier and a BPO structure.
This role is a critical support for the RTR COE.
Key Responsibilities :
As a Mgr, Acctg&Ctrlshp, Record to Report, you’ll be responsible for :
- Manage and report on specific RTR activities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Manage and report on specific controls activities including support of internal and external audit activities
- Execute RTR projects over processes to streamline activity and deliver best practices for RTR COE
- Ability to communicate and influence key internal and external business partners to including BPO partners
- Manages accounting and controls for specific Carrier RTR COE activities
- Ensure accurate and timely financial results, monthly closing and compliance activities
- Confirms procedures and controls are in alignment with US GAAP reporting requirements and corporate policies
- Manages and reports on activities to include critical RTR activities around balance sheet and reconciliations
- Oversees completion of transactions related to general accounting processes such as inter-company cash, cash management, government accounting, financial reporting, project accounting, and / or balance sheet management to ensure accurate and timely completion.
- Oversees accounting policies, procedures, and controls in order to ensure adherence to regulations and organization guidelines.
- Monitors budget and forecasting activities.
- Analyzes financial statements and reports to provide advice.
- Leads medium-scale projects.
Requirements

As a minimum you must have :
- Requires advanced to expert knowledge obtained through advanced education, combined with experience
- Substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs or systems to make enhancements within job area
- University Degree or equivalent
- A minimum of 7 years prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have :
- Advanced Degree in an Accounting discipline or MBA
- Certified Public Accountant or equivalent preferred or the ability and eligibility to obtain certification
