As Medical Manager you´re going to be accountable for executing and operating strategies, tactics, medical activities and other related processes or projects defined in the local plan of ViiV portfolio, all of this through a deep expertise and strong scientific interactions with external experts and other stakeholders to deliver product value and internally working together with HIV Sr. Medical Affairs Manager, Country Medical Director, and ViiV´s Regional Medical Affairs Head, therapeutic area colleagues and other team members involved in supporting the accomplishment of the business plan objectives.

Your Responsibilities: This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following.

  • Supporting and advising from medical and patient point of view to marketing, access and commercial areas
  • Leading and driving the development and performance of MSL team in a compliant and ethical manner by establishing a culture of empowerment and performance
  • Setting business objectives and priorities to external engagement that ensure the development of the medical engagement plans through execution and reporting key performance indicators and metrics.
  • Supporting the development of the MSL team’s capabilities to achieve world-class scientific engagement aligned with the Medical Engagement Framework.
  • To establish close relationships with External Experts, Medical and Scientific Associations/Societies, as well as Health Authorities and Regulatory Agencies to provide complete and accurate information through appropriate channels and following the highest standards of scientific dialogue to increase the disease knowledge and development of therapies for HIV prevention and treatment.
  • To ensure relevant medical insights are appropriately shared with the GSK/ViiV areas and represent the voice of external experts and patients.
  • To advise and support Regulatory and Health Economics teams to provide, build and review medical-scientific and Health Economics & Outcomes information to the submission of new products, indications, Product information updating, or developing economic analyzes or dossiers.
  • Ensuring compliance of the MSLs with GSK standards and policies, and local codes of practice, guidelines and laws by driving the use sound medical judgment in their day-to-day activities.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Advanced post graduate scientific degree, preferably in the clinical area (internal medicine, Immunology or Infectology) and/or epidemiology and/or public health
  • English >80%
  • 3+ years prior experience working in similar positions in Medical Affairs
  • Experience in an academic institution in the area or HIV
  • Strategic relationship skills and assertive communication according to Stakeholders
  • Knowledge about the local health system and legislation
  • Public speaking skills
  • Able to interpret, analyze and communicate, epidemiological, clinical research and pharmacoeconomic data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Regulatory Standards (COFEPRIS, FDA, EMA, etc.)
  • Fundamentals of Good Clinical Practice in Research and Clinical Studies
  • Scientific leadership as per scientific publications in national and internal peer review journals
  • Therapy area flexibility is necessary to meet changing business needs.
  • Negotiation and leadership skills.
