JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary

The Organization and Talent Development Specialist will actively participate in the design, development, and delivery of a wide range of leadership and professional development solutions aligned to business priorities to enable and drive a high-performing and inclusive culture.

Organizational and Talent Development Specialist constructs, conducts, and analyzes training needs-assessments and uses the resulting data to create new courses and tools, enhance current offerings, and coach colleagues on solutions to close skill gaps, build knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to achieve business goals.  

The position includes analytical, tactical, and administrative tasks assisting with project implementation, people development cyclical activities such as succession planning, talent review, global engagement survey, HCM implemenation, and development programs needed to support talent management programs

Essential Functions

  • Provide support in the development and execution of cyclical people development initatives.
  • Assist in the creation and administration of our development offerings for high potential talent, new managers, and other groups identified through talent and succession discussions to help employees develop the capabilities and knowledge needed to grow in their career.
  • Design training materials and content for learners (including but not limited to facilitator guides, presentation, participant workbooks, job aids) in support of key regional and global HR processes AND TALENT DEVELOPMENT efforts.
  • Support and execute the overall annual performance management strategy. This includes goal setting, development plans, talent assessment, and performance reviews.
  • Provide support to HR Business Partners for clients’ organizational needs including assessment, diagnosis, contracting, action planning, execution, and evaluation/effectiveness.
  • Assist in the implementation of various developmental initiatives and projects to support the people development strategy (Global and Americas)  
  • Support the implementation of Successfactors talent modules including work instruction design and training (e-learning courses, workshops and other training support).
  • Conduct training and development needs analysis across region through surveys, interviews, communication with managers, and others to identify and prioritize organizational needs and gaps.
  • Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of programs through participant feedback, reports, and other measures of employee effectiveness to monitor their ongoing impact, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of the succession planning process (Business Talent Review) and succession planning meetings including reporting, logistics, material preparation and follow-up.
  • Support the Global Engagment Survey including launch, reporting, and action planning
  • Work closely with the DEI team to integrate equitable and inclusive content and best practices into learning experiences.
  • Assist in identifying and working with vendors to create employee development programs that align to employees’ career aspirations and organization capabilities.
  • Responsible for partnering with the manufacturing groups to recommend or design development programs and interventions for employees aligned to the operations strategy improve organizational effectiveness and capabilities.
  • May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to independently establish strong working relationships and collaborate effectively with manager, colleagues, and training stakeholders across the organization.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge and application of instructional design, adult learning, (e.g. ADDIE, SAM, etc.) and best practices in training delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a complex and matrixed global environment
  • Ability to manage ambiguity across multiple priorities and to know when to escalate issues for final resolution
  • Strong communication skills to communicate effectively and credibly, both verbally and in writing, with audiences at all management levels
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong ORGANIZATIONAL AND project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with learning management systems

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Organizational Development
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as an organizational development or learning and DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST in a related industry.
  • Experience in organizational development and instructional design tools (adobe captivate, feedback models, and assessments (leadership and potential) etc.
  • International experience (Europe, Asia, US, Mexico and Canada) a plus
  • Proven ability to administer and debrief individual and team assessment instruments a plus
  • Successfactors talent modules experience a plus
  • DiSC facilitation or certification experience a plus

  • This is an individual contributor role, no current direct reports 

Travel Requirements: 

  • This individual will be required to travel approximately 25% of the time within the job scope
