This role is accountable for leading the execution of payroll tasks: including operational delivery of Payroll, and transition of in-country payroll tasks to the ESC HR Payroll team based in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Functions, Duties, Tasks :

  • Lead coordination, maintenance and continued growth and development of Payroll matters in the LATAM region
  • Transitional activities including, but not limited to, payroll operational transfer from LATAM country resources to ESC Mexico
  • Develop strategy and timeline for transitioning Brazilian payroll to centralized support model
  • Support senior management with specific data reporting needs. Identifies any unmet system/data needs of the business and works to develop appropriate solutions, including local / regional systems
  • Deliver on continuous payroll improvement targets, in line with global direction
  • Coordinate with partners, customers and key stakeholders (HR Operations, Finance, Internal Audit, HR, IT and Management) to ensure integration, efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery of payroll services as well as addressing business needs with a customer focused and compliant disposition
  • Ensure Internal Audit controls and SOX narratives are correct and comprehensive
  • Leading a team of payroll professionals including developing and mentoring tasks
  • After finalization of transition of Brazilian payroll, responsible for regular processing country payroll data in collaboration with Local HR and third party payroll partner. This includes but is not limited to review, analyze, and reconcile time/payroll and other time/payroll related data according to established timelines, standards & procedures, and ensure timely and effective resolution of employee/manger queries, within defined SLA’s
  • Partnering with stakeholders to ensure good working relationships are built and maintained
  • Comply with all company local and global policies including legal & privacy frameworks, Code of Conduct, anti-discrimination, harassment, and health, safety and environment (HSE) policies.
  • Perform any other duties or serve in such other capacity as may be determined by Company management

Minimum Qualification (education, experience and/or training, required certifications):

Education : Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) in HR, Finance, IT or related field.

Experience :

  • Demonstrated payroll experience in LATAM market;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in processing/running LATAM payrolls;
  • Demonstrated capability in identifying & delivering against critical success factors for payroll operations, including managing effective and efficient payroll services both internally and provided by external payroll providers;
  • Knowledge and experience in SOX compliance, wage and hour laws, payroll processing, time and attendance systems
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and work effectively and collaboratively with various business partnerships and to promote effective collaboration between them.
  • Ability to design, develop, implement and maintain processes based on industry best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of professionals; nice to have experience nurturing, developing and mentoring a team
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Solid vendor management experience and skills

Other Information:

  • Language : Fluent in English (C1+ is required),Spanish (C1+ is required)
  • Ability to flex working schedule to meet the needs to of the business (before / after hours)
  • Expected Travel : Up to 10%
