Project Manager CSR Cuxtal II
Merida
Purpose of the Position:
The Project Manager-CSR will be responsible for the management of all construction projects associated to the social investments program for Cuxtal II Project. The program includes construction/reconstruction/revamping of infrastructure such as schools, public buildings, public recreation facilities, etc. In charge of 200+ construction projects that will be executed along 3 years. Lead a small team responsible for monitoring the projects in terms of Engineering, Construction, Project Control, Schedule, Quality and HSSE. This role shall be responsible not only for controlling the assigned contractors and suppliers, but also for deploying the company´s policies and ensuring that all works are performed according to them.
Responsabilities and Job Functions:
The scope of the Project Manager CSR position is described in detail below, including but not limited to:
• Closely monitor the planning, organization, direction, control and execution of the construction of the projects; from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
• Evaluate the budget estimates and payments of the construction project.
• Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones. Monitor progress against established
schedules.
• Know the current contracts with the different Contractors, and be aware of changes and additions to agreements of said contracts.
• Develop and implement quality control and Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) programs.
• Verify that all contractors have completed pre-project checking procedures, fulfill all requirements
associated to ethic, HSSE, Nondisclosure agreements (NDA), etc.
• Ensure that all projects aligned with all legal requirements associated to permitting, insurance, collective contracts (unions), etc.
• Check all personnel associated to the projects receive all induction and required training courses
according to Company´s policies and procedures.
• Report any matters related to HSSE, Unions, and community conflicts .
• Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to senior project management.
• Collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Ocupational Profile:
Preferred education in Civil, or Industrial Engineering, or Architecture, final degree.
Courses and/or certifications in construction project management or community
relationship areas is a plus.
Solid, verifiable technical knowledge and experience in leading construction projects.
Basic knowledge of the PMI methodology. Mastery of project control techniques,
analysis of work times and costs, as well as knowledge of public and housing
construction
Knowledge of standards/codes for civil and public construction.
Knowledge of MS Project, MS office packge.
At least 5 years of experience in similar positions in construction projects
Preferably with experience in cost engineering oriented to the standards of the
AACE International Cost Estimate Classification System.
