At DICE Therapeutics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Eli Lilly and Co), we design and develop innovative therapies in immunology for patients with debilitating disease. Seeking to create a future where convenient oral medicines with biologic-like efficacy are available to patients with serious medical conditions, we are developing oral alternatives to medicines currently limited to injectable forms.

We seek an exceptional full-time lab-based Research Associate to join our Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) team. This individual will be a key contributor to performing standard ADME/DMPK assays, such as microsomal stability, plasma protein binding, and metabolite identification. The individual will also be responsible for operating LC-MS instruments (QQQ and HRMS) with minimal direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ADME/DMPK assays such as microsome stability, plasma protein binding, reaction phenotyping, metabolite identification, etc. across drug discovery and development programs.
  • Develop, qualify, and/or validate methods on LC-MS/MS, Orbitrap HRMS, and other analytical platforms.
  • Analyze in vitro and in vivo samples for drugs and metabolites for applications in pharmacokinetics, toxicokinetics, biomarker, etc. studies.
  • Prepare and present weekly DMPK updates and provide written procedures and reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Synthetic Chemistry, CMC, Clinical Pharmacology, and other relevant divisions within the company.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in chemistry
  • 0-6 years industry experience

Preferences:

  • Focus on analytical chemistry or biochemistry
  • Academic and/or industry experience with ADME, DMPK, and/or Pharmacology
  • Experience with chromatography techniques – HPLC, UPLC, etc.
  • Experience in applications of mass spectrometry in bioanalysis. Hands-on experience with high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) and/or quantitative LC-MS/MS (e.g., multiple reaction monitoring or MRM assays)
  • Experience with handling biological samples such as plasma, tissues, etc. for applications in bioanalytical assays

Lilly currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from between $77,000 to $175,000 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s qualifications for the role, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
