About this role

Business Unit Overview:

BlackRock’s Latin America (LatAm) client business serves institutional and wealth clients across the region including corporate, public and industry pension plans, insurance companies, third-party mutual funds, endowments, foundations, charities, corporations, official institutions, banks, registered investment advisors, family offices and retail clients along with all other financial intermediaries throughout the region.

Our professionals, renowned for their expertise and collaborative approach, work together to deliver a full range of solutions tailored to the diverse needs of our clients. These solutions span across asset and risk management, advisory services and cutting-edge technology through Aladdin—our proprietary platform renowned for its risk analytics, portfolio management, and operational tools.

Within the LatAm business, our sales and relationship management professionals are at the forefront of client engagement, dedicated to designing personalized investment solutions, transferring knowledge of our products and services' benefits, and are accountable for maintaining robust client relationships. They are supported by a centralized marketing function which ensures consistency globally.

BlackRock’s client business in Mexico: As a leading figure in Mexico's asset management landscape, BlackRock boasts over $100B in Assets Under Management, supported by more than 200 dedicated local employees in our Mexico City office. Our Mexican business reflect the global strength and innovative spirit of BlackRock, offering comprehensive solutions across a wide range of asset classes to both Institutional and Wealth client segments.

We are looking for an Analyst to join our team of sales professionals who focus on serving the Institutional and Wealth client segments:

· The Wealth team focuses on financial intermediated sales of BlackRock products through private banks, independent advisors, retail distributors and family offices, the team has helped solidify BlackRock's position as a top provider of investment solutions in the market.

· The Institutional team oversees our distribution of BlackRock’s products and services offering holistic solutions to Mexican institutions and corporations across asset classes, including active, passive, alternatives, multi-asset, cash management and technology.

Job Purpose/Background:

The Sales Analyst role in Mexico will focus a range of responsibilities that sit within the team’s mission of providing sales excellence and relationship management to our clients in Mexico This individual will play an important role in cultivating strong and long-term relationships with BlackRock’s clients in Mexico as well as driving partnerships with internal stakeholders across the firm to deliver for our clients’ needs.

Responsibilities

· Understand client's necessities and market trends, provide ideas and solutions to improve sales strategies with a high-quality service, positive and proactive attitude.

· Stay abreast of developments in the financial services industry, ensuring BlackRock’s client service remains competitive and cutting-edge by adapting to market, regulatory, and technological changes.

· Positioning and differentiating BlackRock and our products against competitor firms and their products.

· Lead the design and execution of educational seminars and roadshows, collaborating with marketing and event management teams to deliver engaging and informative presentations to advisors.

· Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with internal BlackRock partners, bringing best-in-class solutions from global and regional teams to the Mexican market, tailored to meet local needs.

· Responsible for providing performance data to clients, answering client’s questions / queries on products and other sales related matters.

· Collect, categorize, and maintain updated client data through it’s lifecycle, mapping the client’s investment profile, current log of all activities, organizational structure, key contacts, sales opportunity, and priorities in relevant CRM system and develop detailed client briefing documents for senior management.

· This role is one of several that have been built to take advantage of the growth of the wealth and institutional segments in Mexico. There is therefore a potential upside in help crafting the structure and design of the team, as well as making a strong contribution to the future success of the Mexico client business.

Knowledge / Experience:

· High degree of cultural sensitivity.

· Fluency in Spanish and English is a strongly recommended.

· Experience in distributing investment products and being an excellent partner within the advisory market.

· Confirmed knowledge of the markets and economic outlook.

· Strong teammate, ability to muck in when required, collaborate internally to utilize BlackRock’s resources.

· A proactive team-player who understands that a highly organized team can drive better performance and can take the lead in driving through improvements in execution and change.

Skills and Qualifications:

· 1-3 years as an experienced investment professional is preferred.

· AMIB Figura 3 certification, CFA or equivalent is desirable.

· Strong overall sales acumen and analytical skills.

· Solid understanding of the Mexican financial landscape, with a particular focus on Wealth Management and/or Institutional Investors.

· Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively in both written and verbal forms, catering to a diverse client base.

· Proficient in explaining markets and in positioning/blending the benefits across the whole portfolio spectrum of solutions which BlackRock can offer our clients in Mexico, including active and local products, ETFs, model portfolios, private markets and alternatives, and more.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, OneNote, etc.).
