The Opportunity

This position works out in our facilities of Lake Forest IL in the Diagnostics Division.

What You’ll Work On

This position will be responsible for leading the execution of analytical plans which identify performance and execution results as well as comprehend the impact of local market issues on sales performance. The Area Sales & Insights Analyst will be responsible for providing primary support to one or more sales channels. Area Sales & Insights Analyst will work in a consultative role with Senior Sales Management. Work will require successful integration of analysis results that leverage across relevant functions including Marketing Research, Sales Operations, Finance and Forecasting. The position requires working with internal constituencies, such as sales and other analytics teams as well as external agencies.

The Sales & Data Insights Manager is the system owner for various PowerBi tools and system support for salesforce.com for the commercial team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Partner with the USO Commercial Operations Director in the development of short-term tactical as well as long-term strategic initiatives of the sales force.
  • Management of projects with outside agencies.
  • Learning and applying a consistent standard of analysis for application at the regional level.
  • Analyzing and interpreting environmental factors that affect sales performance and make recommendations to sales management.
  • Analyzing market and product trends and performance relative to internal expectations.
  • Lead the organization in identifying and managing appropriate sales force benchmarking studies.
  • Developing and maintaining reporting on performance metrics for senior sales management.
  • Supporting finance, forecasting and sales in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and financial planning processes.
  • Provide analysis and build of weekly region performance and Monthly IBP performance.
  • Provide consultative support to the sales incentives administration team.
  • Provide insights in sales compensation and design.
  • Issue resolution and training/support for salesforce.com

Accountability & Scope:

  • Drive the acceptance and usage of sales analysis within one or more sales channels
  • Drive the development of analytic plans and tools supporting sales channel leadership
  • Lead cross functional projects and teams
  • Identify process improvements
  • Ensure appropriate integrity and reasonableness of information.
  • Ensure adoption and continuous education of the front line users with regards to systems and tools

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Business, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, and/or related field.
  • 5-7 years’ work experience in related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA Preferred  
  • Expertise in healthcare industry sales is a plus. 
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, SAP, Cognos.
  • Must have technical aptitude to include expert level Excel or Access skills and broad-based awareness of other analytical tools
  • Demonstrated proficiency in modeling tools like trend analysis and optimization.   
  • Technical Competency: Communicating and presenting: Develops business oriented results with appropriate level to detail, keeps the right people informed.
  • Proven record of handling complex analyses

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 – $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
