Senior Cost Accounting Specialist

Position Overview

Navistar has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Cost Accounting Specialist to join our Finance & Accounting team at our San Antonio Assembly Plant. The Sr. Cost Accounting Specialist reports to the Plant Controller and oversees the calculation of the standard costs for the plant and monitoring inventory balances and movements. The position also is responsible for working with the other plant personnel to ensure that the systems that track our production and inventory are working correctly. Schedule is Monday – Thursday 5:30am – 4pm Fridays as needed.

Responsibilities

1. Calculation of the standard costs for all assembly lines at the plant
2. Maintaining the Infor LN system costs to ensure all products produced are properly costed
3. Prepare inventory reports such as BOM adjustment, WIP and finished goods as required
4. Work with the materials area to ensure that all adjustments and cycle counts are properly performed and recorded
5. Assisting the other members of the department in the reconciliation and reporting of account balances monthly
6. Overseeing annual physical inventory
7. Performing month-end Cost Accounting close

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
   At least 5 years of accounting experience
   At least 1 year of lead experience
2. OR
3. Bachelor’s degree and CPA
   At least 5 years of accounting experience
   At least 1 year of lead experience
4. OR
5. Master’s degree in Accounting
   At least 3 years of accounting experience
   At least 1 year of lead experience
6. OR
7. Master’s degree and CPA
   At least 3 years of accounting experience
   At least 1 year of lead experience
