About the Role:
In this opportunity as Sr Endpoints engineer, Virtual Desktop - ETS, you will:

  • Work together with the L1/L2 support team to promptly resolve any Virtual desktop issues reported by users, offering guidance and knowledge as necessary.
  • Monitor the performance and overall health of the Virtual Desktop environment, proactively identifying potential problems and implementing necessary improvements.
  • Control user access and permissions within the Virtual Desktop environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining security.
  • Take part in the planning and execution of VDI projects, such as upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning.
  • Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard the Virtual Desktop environment, including access controls, patch management, and endpoint security.
  • Develop and maintain documentation regarding Citrix VDI configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Build, update, test, and deploy customized OS images for different Virtual desktop specifications.
  • Configure subscriptions and network settings proficiently using Azure and other cloud technologies.
  • Manage the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Cloud connectors.
  • Implement improvements in Citrix to enhance services and address operational and security concerns.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to Virtual desktop technologies.

About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience working with Virtual Desktop technologies.
  • Proven experience as Virtual desktop Support Engineer or similar role, preferably at the L3 level.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure as well as desktop virtualization products such as Citrix XenDesktop,, and Azure Virtual desktop
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and client operating systems, Network/Systems administration, Active Directory, Group Policy objects, User Profiling, and Remote Desktop Services.
  • Proficiency in Scripting languages: Bash Shell & PowerShell.
  • Experience in managing a VDI Estate via SCCM and Intune (Cloud)
  • Experience with different operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS, as well as the ability to configure, deploy, and manage virtual desktops on these platforms.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP. Familiarity with network optimization
  • Skills in monitoring and analyzing VDI performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations to ensure a seamless user experience and efficient resource utilization.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, as well as the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as Citrix Certified Associate or Professional, VMWare VCP, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
