Job Description

As a Senior Risk Analyst, you will report to the Global Business Process Owner for Risk in Global Operations, you will contribute to the realisation of the Risk Management Framework.

Accountabilities

In this role you will work with AstraZeneca’s operational risk process which involves managing the data, improving the process with new ways of working. You will ensure the continued timeliness and accuracy of quarterly reporting and analysis; and you will act as liaison for the different business units in Global Operations, ensuring effective communication and knowledge sharing across Global Operations. Key to this role will be your ability to utilize the risk data to analyze themes and trends in data and provide insight back to the team. You will be required to challenge the approach and input and be confident in working with partners across the business to ensure the integrity of the data. You will maintain the database for risks ensuring compliance and taking responsibility for the governance of the database. This role ensures all data is available on time and with respecting the standard in place to ensure successful quarterly risk reporting for senior leaders in Operations and in Global Supply Chain and Strategy (GSC&S).

Requirements

  • Experience in risk operations and enterprise management
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical capabilities and extensive experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Very good experience using visualization techniques and tools such as Power BI
  • Ability to utilise risk data to analyse themes and trends in data and provide insight back to the team
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and change both effectively and pragmatically
  • Ability to effectively present complex information to senior leaders in concise manner, to drive business decisions
  • Experience of operating across functions and geographies.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of risk management standards such as ISO 31000, the COSO framework
  • Knowledge of database and data structure

Expectation of working in the office 3 days a week statement
