Service Team Leader - Motors and Drives

In this position, you will be supervising a team of Service Engineers and Service Technicians working with electric Motors and generators in low, medium and high voltage in Motion Business Unit in Mexico. You will help to execute the Service strategy and boost growth by focusing on delivering timely, high-quality and cost-effective service offerings, solutions and projects. You will drive excellence through effective planning and allocation of resources in accordance with processes, procedures and guidelines.

Operations Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with group health, safety and environmental directives and that regulations are implemented in own area of responsibility.
  • Ensures that all Service Team members are certified in line with global certification and local regulations.
  • Reviews competence levels to ensure each service engineer, technician and subcontractor is appropriately qualified to handle jobs assigned to them.
  • Ensures customer focus, understanding of sense of urgency and care in the direct area of responsibility.
  • Allocates, drives, and monitors work based on order content, delivery time, competencies, and workload.
  • Effectively utilizes available resources through proper planning and scheduling to meet delivery targets (e.g. OTD, response time, ordered service offerings, update of installed based data).
  • Drives continuous improvement culture and the implementation of improvements in order to achieve service excellence in own area of responsibility.

Your background

  • Bachelor´s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or related.
  • +5 years of field service experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning and repairing electric motors.
  • Technical knowledge in electric Motors and generators in low, medium and high voltage and knowledge in the use of electrical measurement devices.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Knowledge in MS Office, SAP and Salesforce.
  • Intermediate-Advanced level of English.
