With a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Purchasing Specialist to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our clients continued success and growth.

Job Summary:

As the Senior Purchasing Specialist , you will be a key player in our clients supply chain management, responsible for strategically sourcing and procuring materials, components, and services required for the production and operation of their vehicles. Your expertise in negotiating supplier contracts, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing procurement processes will be critical to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Sourcing: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct negotiations, and establish strategic partnerships to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, monitor performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement in quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while mitigating risks. Cost Analysis: Analyze cost structures, market trends, and supplier pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction strategies.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that supplier products meet the companys quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Work closely with inventory management teams to optimize stock levels and ensure timely availability of materials while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in procurement activities.
    Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within the procurement department to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of international sourcing and logistics.
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles is a plus.

Bachelor 's degree in engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, and project management. Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant improvement methodologies is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide teams. Proficiency in data analysis tools and project management software. Working Conditions: This role may require occasional travel to various company locations or partner organizations. Flexible work hours to accommodate project needs and deadlines. The position may involve occasional extended work hours during critical project phases.
