Job Description


Visa Global Treasury is looking for a senior finance professional to support Visa’s settlement services in Mexico. As a Sr. Manager in the Treasury Settlement Group, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Visa’s domestic settlement service is successfully monitored and maintained. Responsibilities include: the identification and resolution of liquidity issues related to non-payment and late payments from Visa clients, execution of daily funds transfer to avoid reputational risk to Visa and consulting for a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. 

This is a high-profile position that requires strong partnership with internal stakeholders, such as Risk, Business Development, Account Managers, Credit Settlement Risk (CSR), Global Network Processing (GNP) and Technology. This candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to problem-solve, strategize and make decisions. This person will also provide consultancy to senior level executives. You will lead the relationship management with local Clearinghouses and Settlement Agents to ensure immediate resolution of issues and ensure there is minimal impact to Visa’s reputation in Mexico.

The role is based in Mexico. Some travel may be required. This position reports to the Senior Director, Head of Treasury, LAC.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications


Basic

Qualifications


8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred

Qualifications


9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Leadership and management experience
Treasury subject matter expert with an in depth understanding of banking, settlement, clearinghouses and payment industry
Superior negotiation skills leading to timely and acceptable resolutions
Solid interpersonal skills and working with cross-functional teams
Technology savvy to be able to guide Technology team through enhancement and system improvements.
Exceptional communication skills (written and oral), with a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Self-directed, motivated and able to efficiently prioritize workload for the team
Issues management skills
Strong prioritization skills
Experience and expertise in the payments industry with progressively increasing levels of responsibility
Able to identify business needs to formulate IT development requirements
Provide planning and guidance to resolve issues, design process flows and work with IT
Project management experience strongly preferred
Fluent Spanish and English. Portuguese is a plus.
