Roles and Responsibilities
- To ensure that all import and export transaction are carried out smoothly and in accordance with GE International Trade compliance regulation and also local and foreign countries regulatory bodies.
- To operate and maintain an efficient cost control for export and import.
- Implement and maintain receiving set-up to ensure that engine spares, materials, equipment, tooling and chemicals in accordance with company and regularity requirement in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, project management, packers, planning, sourcing, manufacturing and/or engineering for processing documentation in preparation of shipments.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders/agent/Port Free Zone Authority for custom clearance activities.
- Schedule shipments and/or electronically submit shipments on the Automated Export System
- Conduct Incoming Visual Inspection on Parts coming back from Vendor based on PO details.
- Register defects in NCR system if defects found.
- Responsible for parts and materials classification, data collection, and requests management.
- Create/Approve invoices (Supplier, Commercial and/or proforma), packing slips, and other documents required to package and/or export parts.
- Trouble shoot material related issues to include interaction with the Sourcing/Fulfilment team.
- Coordinate parts credit returns and reallocations
- Provide solutions to expected parts shortages to meet production needs
- Collect data, run reports, track, communicate status, and update performance metrics
- Responsible for ordering, shipping, receipt, and coordination with Sourcing and may be required to interact with outside vendors
- To closely monitor and record in and out going goods
- To leverage best practices from other AA/GE sites
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of working experience in Logistic and Inventory Management. Experience in Gas Turbine/Aviation Industry, Material Management will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills and coaching team in meeting productivity, safety, quality, compliance and all other company initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and deliver on targets with good planning skills and creativity on alternate processes while remaining in compliance.
- Good interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
- Exhibit high integrity and discipline.
- Competency in PC skills - Advanced computer skills (Oracle, MS Excel or other warehouse management system)
- English Mandatory: Fluent Level
- Willing to work at Pulau Indah, Selangor
