ASSISTANT GROUP SALES MANAGER – MEXICAN MARKET

Summary
This Assistant Group Sales Manager position is based remotely in Mexico City and represents Andaz Mayakoba. The position prospects and sells to individual corporate accounts and 3 rd parties on behalf of the hotel in accordance with the objectives established in the marketing plan. The Assistant Manager will ensure that sales activities, top accounts and bookings are strategically focused on maximizing revenue.
We are looking for an energetic, experienced customer service professional with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multitask and have a passion for service and hospitality.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- We are looking for an individual who possesses solid selling and interpersonal skills and who demonstrates the energy and commitment to meet and exceed personal goals.
- The applicant will have a proven record of accomplishment in pursuing, evaluating soliciting, selling and confirming business as required in order to meet individual goals and overall budgeted sales revenues.
- Applicants to have 2 years previous experience in a similar role selling corporate events/MICE.
- Travel is required; mostly within Mexico
- Ability to communicate, written and verbal, in English and Spanish.
- Successful candidates must possess legal work authorization in Mexico.
Responsibilities Include:
- Actively prospect new group business opportunities that fit the target market of the resort.
- Planning and execution of weekly and monthly sales presentations and client entertainment within CDMX and other regions.
- Develop sales offers and promotions to help drive awareness within the Mexican market.
- Participation in Hyatt led tradeshows, events and sales blitzes.
- Develop strong understanding of key competitors in order to be able to confidently sell against them.
- Develop understanding and proficency using Envision to build group blocks.
- Utilize Envision sales system to log daily, weekly and monthly sales activities.
- Travel to the resort to conduct client site inspections when necessary.
- Complete quarterly account roadmaps defining strategies and tactics for target accounts
- Understanding of the monthly and annual Group Sales budget.
- Understanding and management of monthly and yearly expense budget.
- Form relationships and work closely with local DMC’s.
- Accurately forecast expense Budget for future months.
- On rotating basis, monitor lead in-box and distribute leads to appropriate SALES MANAGER.
