Job Description:
Athonet provides a complete in-house software-based LTE/5G connectivity platform that runs in cloud or virtualized data center environments and on ruggedized hardware. Our platform allows customers to break free from the restrictive, expensive, proprietary telco-centric architecture of legacy solutions and embrace the true potential of wireless.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Design and delivery of proprietary solution for Telco MPN (Mobile Private Networks)
- Delivery and support of LTE systems: EPC, IMS and DRA elements, also comprising VoLTE capabilities
- Delivery and support of 5GC systems, also comprising VoNR capabilities
- Deployment and configuration of ESXi 6.7, 7.0, KVM on different types of servers: Dell R2xx/6xx, Supermicro, Dell VEP14xx, Dell XRxx
- Support for 5GC solution deployed on AWS
- Network analysis and troubleshooting through Wireshark, Grafana, Elastic Search
- Push to Talk (PTT) and Mission Critical (MC-PTT) delivery and integration within EPC / 5GC
- Set up of 4G/5G radio equipment (Nokia, BTI wireless, Airspan, NodeH)
- L3 switch configuration: Mikrotik RouterOS, DellOS, FSOS
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Knowledge of IP networking (routing and switching) and Linux OS
- Good investigation and judgment skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Highly flexible, fast learner and good team player
- Customer service oriented
- Can work with minimal supervision (after an onboarding period)
- At least two years working experience in the related filed is required for this position
- Knowledge of 3GPP and 4G/5G mobile networks
- Scripting skills
- Experience in deploying IMS, VoIP and SIP
- Experience with Cloud deployments
- Fluent in Italian & English
